The tradition of building a gingerbread house gained immense popularity in the early 1800s. Fast forward two centuries, and it remains a cherished holiday activity for many, with the gingerbread baking community renowned for its supportive nature—be it for competitions, friends and family, or simply the joy of baking and architecture!

This year, let's elevate this tradition by using our passion for gingerbread to help those in need! For the 2026 Gingerbread-Smackdown, each vote will require a minimum donation of $5.00, with 97% of the total donation being directed to a US-based non-profit/charity organization selected by each entry (3% goes towards credit card processing fees).  Let's help others by donating the cost of a fancy cup of coffee!

On your entry form, you will specify the US-based non-profit/charity organization that will receive 97% of the donation amount your entry receives (3% goes towards credit card processing fees).  The entry with the highest total donation amount will receive the award for Favorite Holiday Gingerbread Scene or Favorite Holiday Gingerbread Art.

Enter now through Dec 24 and let the frosting-fueled festivities begin!
