Haunted Ghost House by Lori Maas

Award: Overall People's Choice - Favorite Halloween Gingerbread Scene

The theme is a Haunted Ghost House. I wanted to build a scary gingerbread house with a cool graveyard environment to compliment the haunted house. Each tombstone has different funny names like Robin Graves, Ben Ill, and Barry M Dead. This house was baked from scratch using a construction gingerbread recipe. The tree is ginger clay and hand sculpted. The roof/ghosts are fondant, shutters are gum paste and crushed candy for the walkway. Used royal icing and isomalt windows.

Happy Trick-or-Treating by Jennifer Hellstern

Made with prefab kit, royal icing, and candies.

Haunted tree house by Kandace Zobell

This haunted tree house is 100% edible. The base, the tree trunk, is made out of gingerbread and ginger clay. I think the ladder made of bones is my favorite detail :)

Haunted Mansion by Mike Huntington

Jack and zero visit the haunted mansion.

Biting ox-wagon by Robbie Cheadle

Historical display of a burning ox wagon with a Boer (farmer) and a hyena.
