The elves get the day off after Christmas. The Ferris wheel is made of gingerbread painted with edible paint and the railing is pasta. Elves are made of gumpaste.
Gingertot Lot by Barb Amabile
My entry was inspired by my granddaughters’ love of playgrounds! It has 4 platforms, 3 spring riders, 2 slides, a ladder, swings, monkey bars, sandbox, ball pit, sliding pole, rock wall, rope ladder, rope bridge, captains’ wheel, tic-tac-toe, bubble window, snack shack and picnic table! 36 gingerfolks are having fun and our traditional Bear is enjoying cookies and cocoa at the snack bar! It is 100% edible made using gingerbread, ginger clay, cereal treats, pasta, fondant, royal icing and love!

Gingerbread plate and stand decorated with Royal icing design and flowers on a base decorated with Royal icing. Entirely edible except for the base.
Santa's 6 7 Town by Heather Brady
This entry was made by my 9 year old, Finn. He brought the viral "Word of the Year" to holiday life by creating "Santa's 6 7 Town". He baked gingerbread cutouts in the shape of 6 7 and added lots of candy and little gingerbread houses to the front and back yards. Santa is a gingerbread boy with a fondant Santa hat. The swirly pops add bright color and gumdrops & snowflakes fill the front yard. There are many pounds of royal icing holding the structure together. He hopes you like it!
Santa of the Opera by Heather Brady
My husband and I always strive to create something that hasn't been done before. Musical inspiration led us to the idea of "Santa of the Opera" where Santa is playing a pipe organ. Our structure and floor are completely gingerbread. Santa and the piano keys are fondant. The music sheet is edible rice paper. We did not use candy this year because we wanted to let the gingerbread shine. Some pieces are painted with edible luster dust and flat sprinkles are used for organ knobs.
Christmas in Paris by Kara Mazer
Eiffel Tower is all gingerbread held together with royal icing. Tree, plant pots and holly are fondant. Street lights are battery operated string lights.
Noah's Ark by Lynne Schuyler
My intention for this piece was to be interactive with our 2 year old granddaughter. No "Do not touch" with this one. The animals are 2 cookies so they stand on their own and fit nicely in little hands. Construction grade gingerbread and royal icing.
Santa's Workshop Inspired by Rankin and Bass Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer by Maria Turner

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer Christmas special is the inspiration behind this piece. The abominable snow monster, Hermey, some of the toys from the Isle of Misfit Toys, Santa, and Rudolph all hand sculpted from homemade modeling chocolate and fondant, isomalt windows, hand sculpted candles and winter greenery. Fondant covered rice cereal treat mountains, isomalt lake with iceberg, sugar lace mini trees, and royal icing Christmas tree ice cream cone. Braided corn husk reins
Christmas in St. Louis by Mariana Aklan
I love St. Louis. I made this display entirely of gingerbread . I used candy canes, soft peppermints and sprinkles. Trees are from waffle cones and icing and Santa and Dalmatian are from fondant.
Terror on the High Seas! by Rachel Johnson
My 8 year old son designed and assisted in the creation of this gingerbread pirate ship under attack by a Kraken! Three brave pirates are desperately trying to defend their ship from the sea monster.
Spark the Dragon King by Sarah Cummings
This is Spark, the dragon king. He is a gingerbread dragon made of stacked gingerbread, a layer of gingerbread puffed cereal, and pastillage. The treasure around him is made of elements of gingerbread, pastillage, isomalt and chocolate. With the dragons eggs being chocolate. His wings are gelatin.
Hogwarts Express by Sydney Leonard
Next stop: Platform 9¾! This gingerbread Hogwarts Express was made for anyone who still feels the magic of the holidays and Harry Potter. Crafted entirely from gingerbread, icing, and candy, it captures the nostalgia of the winter season.
